Easier than A... B... C...

“Life is Simple” this is a phrase a lot of people would not agree with. Often times, you hear people say “Life is hard”, “Life is complicated”, “Life is a minefield” “Blah blah blah.”. If you’re reading this, I’m almost certain you’ve heard a few things about life and you’ve most likely made your own conclusions. I’m not here to change what you think about life – or maybe I am. I’m here to tell you life is simple and give you a few reasons why I have chosen to believe Life is SIMPLE. You might realize there could be some sense in what I’m saying or I’ve finally lost it.

The word simple itself means uncomplicated in form, nature, or design.  Also, to be easily understood or done is something simple.

Let’s dive in;

  • Life has a simple rule of giving: Not karma, just giving. If you give, you receive. In my opinion, this simple rule plays a part in everything. Give good vibes? Get good vibes. Give money? Get goods. Give bullshit? Get disrespected. Give pain? Receive pain – I think. Give love? Get love. Give happiness? Get fulfillment. While I understand that there are times when things don’t go as planned and you don’t receive what you give, well, those are exceptions, exceptions happen just like accidents happen. When it happens, just suck it up and move on. Although it might be easier said than done, just remember that the journey of a thousand miles starts with a step

  • Choices: Often times, in movies, in real life on the internet, you hear people say “I didn’t have a choice” or some variation of that statement. In my opinion, the truth is – you had a choice, you always have a choice. Irrespective of how tough the situation is, choices always present themselves, clear as day. To some people, certain options are not worth considering, either as a result of their moral standing, religious beliefs or personal principles, but the truth is the options were there all along. In that light, I hope you understand now, that you always have a choice. Even if the decision seems like a tough one, there are always options. Now, think about it, what’s stopping you from making a move and sticking with it? Society? Next time you have to explain why you made a choice, don’t say “I didn’t have a choice” say something more along the lines of “It was a tough decision, but I chose the most logical and beneficial option to myself. I sincerely apologize if you were negatively affected. If there’s any way I can help, do let me know and if it’s within my capability, I’ll try to help”.

  • Peace and Happiness: Those are the two most underrated things in society today. Jon Bellion said it best in his song "The Internet" . A while ago, I made a decision to not do anything if it disrupts my peace or happiness. This has found its way into relationships, friendships, tasks or life choices. Yes, I know sometimes, sacrifices have to be made, but in all honesty, whatever disrupts your peace or happiness in the long run doesn’t belong in your life. You don’t need that type of your energy in your life. Always ask yourself “If I do this, will it negatively affect my peace or happiness? Now? In future?”  and you’d find yourself not hanging out with toxic people, not making terrible decisions.

  • Own your shit: Last but not least. OWN YOUR SHIT!!! Whatever you do, stand by it. You did it? Own it. Said it? Own it. I honestly have no explanation for this but just own your actions.

 Stay Happy 💚
